    The ever more of you

We are not strangers you and I,
There is a covert pregnant tie.
A feeling deep within the soul,
Like the sensing of a similar goal.

I feel we've met before you know,
Many times long, long ago.
Those times we sort each other out,
Even the times of turn about.

Today, you show to me this face.
But yet much more do I embrace.
Within you lies the zeal, appeal,
The very unction of the real.

It's the weakness of the human will,
That make me probe you closer still.
I look beyond this face to see
And you in turn do that to me.

Sometimes a husband or a wife.
Sometimes a Venus of a life
Perhaps it is the other way.
To this I say the eyes see clay.

We seek the evermore of true.
And this I've found again in you.

"look beyond the eyes", so beautiful Sy.  What a gift you have dear man.

In the dew of little things,
the heart finds its morning
and is refreshed.

Dear Sy,
The wonder you create I see
This poem of beauteous verse is you
But the beauty of the poetry
Most certain dwells within the true
You are amazing
Love ya,
Liz

"The very unction of the real"

This poem, so tender in its offering, makes me smile. How can it not embrace, in dear and emollient phrases, your love's heart and soul?

This made me think of one of my favorite movies,'Somewhere in Time'. So deeply romantic! I think I would have to say this is my favorite of yours, so far!

Well, looks like I replied a bit late and all the GOOD responses were taken! I will simply respond with the words "touchingly beautiful".

Sy - it is so nice to put a face to the name - you look nothing like Oscar!!! LOL

This, my friend, is a delight. Expressive, sincere and moving. A gift indeed.
