Believe in the rainbows that shape all our dreams
as they dance across the magic of our souls
creating light where shadows once existed
to fill with wonder what was once an empty hole

As icicles drip off the branches of a tree
so we're free to roam our hidden fantasies
shaken free by the winds across the heart
these are the colours of ecstacy

Scattered like leaves as they blow across time
these colours are our innocent friends
delight in them with knowledge of eternal hope
weaving dreams that have no beginning and no end

Drape your soul with this magical shawl
release your spirit with opened curtains
let timeless passion create a wonderful glow
ending the darkness of a future uncertain

The depth of feeling is yours to conceive
as you hold the future of destiny
within the folds of two loving hearts
that soothe the soul with their rhapsody

I wonder if you will ever realise
That it's not as far as it may seem
I wonder if you'll reach out and touch
The rainbow of an everlasting dream...

Don't ask me where I'm going, just listen when I'm gone and far away you'll hear me singing softly to the dawn.

Rainbow, You have touched upon that which I have felt in you and your poetry and your spirit. This is very beautifully written, Rainbow, and I'm sure most poets will understand all you have said here. Thank you for being able to express it.
Love ya,
Liz

"The rainbow of an everlasting dream.." such a wonderful line. The poem's beauty is surpassed only by your own, Rainbow, come what may.

This is very beautiful Rainbow--I keep going back to read it again and find it so very well done.

the heart finds its morning

and am glad I came to read again today cause my comment of yesterday is not here...musta done something wrong, lol, I had to take off letting PIP keep my password, as anyone can open my cp, and sometimes I forget to put it in on a comment and it doesn't post...and lol, yes I know if I wasn't so pressed for time and I actually read the screens it would probably tell me that it didn't post but lol, I am off to the next poem in a flash, otherwise I won't get to read them....big hugs for your day RG
