*I actually wrote exactly a year ago! And even though I may be a bit early, Happy New Years Everybody! As though a sculpture in museum Half in the light, half in the shade Unfinished quarter of an apple Sits on a emptied plate Portraying calmness of a lake Which gusty wind has no discovered A cup of tea, as dark as ink Since morning stands uncovered A spoon, a fork, a butter knife-- Aligned together like three guards, Are on patrol to keep the stillness In the unfinished game of cards Along the window in the sunshine A dog’s stretched out for a nap It listens for the softest sound And waits for the owner to come back As for the moment, frozen silence As though fresh air fills up the room And all the memories of 1999 Are swept away with a magic broom I fell in love and kept on falling |

Excellent imagery, Master! My favorite stanza was... "Along the window in the sunshine A dog's stretched out for a nap It listens for the softest sound And waits for the owner to come back" I also love how it all relates to the ending of a year! ![]() JOY |

This is great...A job well done! ~*~ Hell is not a place of fire and a devil with a tail and horns. But a place of torment because the light of God is gone. To escape this, accept the blood of Jesus Christ! ~*~ |

Terrific imagery and poem, Master! Elizabeth Nail to the mast her holy flag, Set every threadbare sail- And give her to the god of storms, The lightning and the gale! -Oliver Wendell Holmes |

when I read this I think of my children who have gone and left home some have died and some grand children too, but mostly I felt how they are gone on with lives of their own. thelma |
