Last Ohio Run After eighteen years influenced by mother's perception Dawned new understanding at the reception These were the Ohio clan she had never known With whom my daughter shared only ancestry, blood and bone Over the sound of a lassies brogue she had never cried She had not know Nel, great grandmother of the bride Newfound bonds grew as she tipped a few with her kindred kind Learning parts of her past with lads and lassies of the same mind Maybe she realized then in light of a different color I was not just one who had miserably failed her mother Saw me through Nel's eyes, lovely lass from Kirk an Tilla As her favorite grandson returned from Pennsylvania We bonded that night by the shore of Lake Erie Shared sprits and with kin made merry We arrived separate came together and left as one I remember thinking as we headed back east toward the sun |

Nice one Tom.... I've been there and done that... and it was a very unique experience, indeed.... Meeting an entire segment of my own family for the first time.. and being taken under their wings - just because I was family - It was an experience I'll never forget... |

This is great Tom! ~*~ Hell is not a place of fire and a devil with a tail and horns. But a place of torment because the light of God is gone. To escape this, accept the blood of Jesus Christ! ~*~ |

Very lovely piece Tom... A soul that writes from the heart and shares it, truly gives a gift extraordinaire! Shannon |

Been there. Done that...and you describe it very well, Tom. |
