Locked

How do I open,
this heart of mine,
When it's been closed,
For all this time.
It got locked up,
A few years ago,
By this girl, when,
She decided to go.
She left with my love,
And went away,
To never come back,
Leaveing me here to stay.
I don't know how,
To handle my life,
For without my love,
There's only strife.

Very nice read

Losing someone you love is hard. You have expressed it well!

What torture it is to be rejected. The incredible depths of dispair we bear. And yet to live and have never loved would be worse--a lifelong diet of oatmeal and saltine crackers? Choices, choices. Thanks for the poem. Chris
