Masquerade Your sly slick way feigns savoir faire; Your craftiness is cloaked with flair; With such finesse you play the game But treachery is thy true name; Antithesis of integrity Of all virtue, all nobility; Fidelity you’ve fast betrayed; Your constancy is sheer charade; Lese-majesty’s the crown you wear; The realm you rule is sure despair; Pure perfidy has been portrayed; Duplicity – thy shame’s displayed. 2/99 Denise |

It is too bad that there are such. Great poem Denise. In the dew of little things, the heart finds its morning and is refreshed. (ee cummings) |

THis is fantastic Denise....the wording is great I have learned that the pain of a lost love will fade, But the memory of having loved will last forever. |

Thank you, Mike, Martie, First Knight, Whiskey, Ruth and Elizabeth for reading and commenting. Is is always appreciated! Yes, it is a shame that there are people like this in the world. I haven't come across too many, though, but then even one is more than enough. Elizabeth - Not a guy, a woman. Who is she? Nobody important, anymore. But, thanks for asking. < !signature--> Denise [This message has been edited by dsnyder (edited 01-01-2000).] |

Denise this is so sad! Beautifully written...I've been there too and you're right, one is too many! <*\\\>< Where there is faith, there is love. Where there is love, there is peace. Where there is peace, there is GOD. Where there is GOD, there is no need. Hallmark |

Denise, This is very nice. Surely there are quite a few people this awful, we all know some. And there are many far, far worse. How clearly, (and in so few words), a well done poem conveys such a clear and understood picture. Wonderful. Chris |

And you are right, even one is more than enough! ~*~ Hell is not a place of fire and a devil with a tail and horns. But a place of torment because the light of God is gone. To escape this, accept the blood of Jesus Christ! ~*~ |

Such a skillfully crafted and stinging piece of work. Wonderful end line. Nicely read aloud...an exercise in enunciation, to be sure. [This message has been edited by Meadowmuse (edited 01-02-2000).] |

I am particularly impressed by the formatting as it resembles a woman's figure. 'Tis verse steeped in truth. Now and forever, my heart hears ~one voice~. Thank you, Rebecca, Chris, Echo, Tamera, Meadowmuse, Walt, Dream and Nan for reading and commenting. The person who inspired this has surely been a test in forgiveness for me. I still struggle with it, although, I have come a long way, but only with the help of God whose forgiveness of us is far and above what any of us deserves for sure! Dream- I wish the formatting were intentional, but, alas, I am not that creative! But thanks anyway for noticing! Denise |

This is great! Very well done! But yanno... I'd be willing to bet she wouldn't recognize herself... no matter how well you described her... people like that don't! *G* |

Okay, kiddo. Every writer knows that these things aren't made up. We always write about ourselves . . . ) So who is he? |

You are correct, Broker, this is not made up! (some of my writings are, though!) I find it interesting, though, that people assumed it was a guy! It's not about a guy. Thanks for reading and commenting! Denise |
