show me the world tonight and I'll show you my heart show me the things you hide I'll show you where to start for there are places in your heart hidden by walls and dust places you have long neglected and they are stained with rust they are memories of other loves and ones who stole your dreams ones you wanted to hide away or try to remend the seems but your heart has never healed you never gave it time just block it off is all you've done and it was just a crime I wish you could just wake up and see the world before you and look at me with flowers in my hand and give me a kiss and thank you shine a light so bright that all can see and you will find the joys that echo within me |

Some people wind up sleeping through life because of past hurts. They become frozen with fear of being hurt again. Very good poem, James! Denise |

Good plan, James... We need to learn from our experiences, but not hide behind them.... |

James, this is an excellent poem, such a shame that someone would let the dust, and rust get in the way of seeing a true gentleman standing before them. |

thanks guys. I really appreciate the comments. it's been a fast moving week and I leave on the 28th to head back to work so I'm sorry if I haven't commented to poems that I normally would have done so to, I just have felt so overloaded with words to write that I've been thinking about what to write out than reading other peoples poems. it'll prolly be that way for a few more times that I'm back. just a heads up now instead of getting one later. hope you all had a merry christmas and have a happy new years. shine a light so bright that all can see and you will find the joys that echo within me |

This is beautiful ~*~ Hell is not a place of fire and a devil with a tail and horns. But a place of torment because the light of God is gone. To escape this, accept the blood of Jesus Christ! ~*~ |
