I kicked the devil's but last night!

I hope that y'll like my vision on this poem.

Last night,
the devil and I,
had a great fight.
We went head-to-head, for twelve rounds
and in the end, he was the one on the ground.
We were fighting for control,
of my body and soul.
I had to show the devil,
that I was above his level.
Because now, I'm on God's side
and I'll be there, till I die.
God has shown me,
the wonderful fruits of life,
when you're good.
And I accepted it because,
I wanted to and I understood.
I admit at times, I feel tempted,
to join my former sinful life
because, I feel exempted.
But I know that,
it's just the devil trying to get me
because, that's his job and like God,
his presence rings eternally.
But when another battle arises,
I'll be ready to fight
because, I kicked his but last night!
