If I’d Have Never Loved If I'd have never loved; I'd have never seen the rainbow through the clouds or the way a mother lovingly caresses her baby's face as he looks to her in wonder. If I'd have never loved; oceans would not be as deep nor skies so blue. Memories would be missing something and dreams would have faded in the dust. If I'd have never loved; the wind would not sing to me nor would the rain call my name. The trees would not be adorned in spender to bring light to the dark of winter. If I'd have never loved; my heart would have turned to stone, unpenetratable to all; doors would remain forever closed; and death would be a welcome reprieve. If I'd have never loved; I'd have never lived. Have you ever noticed That the words... "Goodbye" "I'm sorry" "I love you" Are so easy to pronounce ...Yet so hard to say ~Javan |

Words of truth and wisdom! We can learn so much through the pain.....that in itself makes the pain valuable! Well done, Ruth! Denise |

Very good Hoot Owl...you do me great honor by writing this because of my poem. And it is even better than mine. |

There are moments that mark our lives. When love comes calling is certainly one of those moements. To miss what love brings is so expertly revealed in this poem. Possibly, the beauty of what love is about is best spoken by one who knew love, lost it, and searchs again, with better eyes and heart to recognize it's true face. Thinking out loud! Wonderful poem, DH |

Denise...thank you and yes, so true Rex...Loving and loving deeply is part of what makes us poets I believe. JML...thanks for the inspiration at a time when I need all I can get. Danny...nothing wrong with thinking outloud...it's when you start asking questions outloud and then answering yourself that people start looking at you a bit strangely Thanks. |

Hoot: Yikes, you mean I can only be seen by those that have loved, gosh, think of all the potential out there...*g* HUSG The grape passes through the press to yield wine. Your life must pass through the press of passion and pain to yield the wine of wisdom.. |

Lady Hoot: They say "love is blind," but without it we truly have no eyes. Very nice work m'lady. I hope you are doing well these days. Peace. |
