This Pain of Glass The pane I look out from this chair of words echoes the sunlit leaf in dust crusted glitter The dark shadow sways a winter glass dancer and entrancing grace of substance growing leaf of splendor just beyond greenly gamely plays the wind You are locked in rhythm yet do not touch you are separate yet alone Which is less or more of real in this vision my heart is touched by both one is like a blossom the other like a dream In heart this pain of glass is sharp This love of true and forever can still be free embrace is such circumference that the heart can’t measure this shadow that touches the crack I left open for expansion in life long quest Oh shadow you inhabit my core add dimension to my vision you must lay with me in this confusion that opens me to hesitation when all I want is to see My heart is glass and pain is not diaphanous its shattering is silent opening lets all the fragile chambers cry [This message has been edited by Martie (edited 01-29-2000).] |

Feel not the shards of broken pane, For in your windowed heart is plain, Beats the caring soul of snow white dove, That soars on winds from heav'ns above. Another excellent work Martie. |

Incredible Martie! It takes a lot of talent to do something like this, and to do it so well is stunning! Beautifully sad, I love it. *Krista Knutson* ~*Like a lion, without fear of the howling pack, Like a gust of wind, ne'er trapped in a snare, Like a lotus blossom, ne'er sprinkled by water, Let me, like a unicorn, in solitude roam.*~ Hymn Of Buddha |

Martie, What a wonderful title, and a wonderful poem. It is stunning! I don't know how you describe a feeling so abstractly, and yet so clearly. You are a wonder Liz |

Martie, You blew the shreds of pain and glass. Like snow upon a lonely pass. But left a trail of warm impart, Straight into your lonely heart. Wonderful poem. *L* Sy |

Martie- 'My heart is glass and pain is not diaphanous its shattering is silent opening lets all the fragile chambers cry' Sweet lady, this is simply a stunning piece of reflection. The pain may not be transparent .. but one can see clearly into the heart of this piece. I am in awe of your talent. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |
