Primal Notes By ©Richard Budig 2000 Breeze driven leaves stick to the fence like post-em notes on the fridge beside the window where I watch her sift bulbs from earth, her seed crop for next summer's yellow and purple. After an hour or so she comes in for tea and I catch from her the scent of ozone and primal earth that awakens in me an equally primal urge. |
