Wasted Weekends ----------------------- I see the anxiety in their Face As the work week passes By You can feel the energy building High As the clock strikes Friday Five They love to see their weekend Come And fear the rise of monday's Sun I do not understand their Woe My weekend is a lonely Soul The five days I look forward Too Keep my life from turning Blue It's those days I get to See The girl whose love has captured Me And as another wasted weekend Goes I'll smile because I always Know The weekday brings my sweetheart Rose. Aww, what a sweet poem! ![]() Very interesting style, might I add! I'm afraid I can relate to the "wasted weekend" concept, but for different reasons, unfortunately! Happy Monday! |

I really like the way this poem read and you have captured the feeling of loneliness many of us feel in our lives at one time or another...and its also a sweet dedication to your special friend. Janet Marie |

Very sweet! Maybe you should see what you can do to get Rose into your weekends...then maybe they wouldn't feel so wasted! But then maybe you wouldn't look forward so much to Monday! Denise |

I get "wasted" everyday, Makes no difference of the "day", Monday thru Friday, they're all the same, Only have myself to blame. Lunch hour comes most everyday, But weekday's are what brings us pay, Weekends wasted, yep that's true, But what the hell? More time for brew. Too bad I waste my life like that, Gainin' weight, gettin' fat, Work's such a tacky way to make a livin' Need to win a million from Regis Philbin. And that's my final answer.... |

God thats a great poem. I'm putting that one in my save file. I used to dread the weekdays, for I would have to face the one I loved yet did not love me. And It's great to know, that you can't wait to see Rose. |

Joy 14, I also prefer my weekends these days, but I do look forward to the weekdays, cause its the only time I can log into Passions. devina, don't be jealous I could never get enough of you. ![]() Corinne, I did and we had a passionet intense 3 year (weekday) romance, she is the inspiration for all my Rose poems. No she was a blond, if she was a redhead I would have died and went to heaven. ![]() One Who Understands, I prefer my weekends now Glad you liked the poem. Parker |

You are always posting such sad poems of days gone by... I hope that now you finally have a significant other in your life who can understand and appriciate the gift of the pen that you have been given. I hope your poems of the future will reflect a more happier life with love and not sadness. |

Katie, I'm sad to say (not trully sad though) that at this time I am single. This does not mean that my life is not rich with friends, and female friends. They keep me from being alone and "my life from turning blue". Plus my new friends here, they put a smile on my face everyday(I'm addicted I must say). ...And as another wasted weekend Goes I'll smile because I always Know The weekday brings me your Passions and Prose.
