All Alone Take refuge in my arms Your weary soul retreating I'll calm your raging storms You can't tell me you'd rather be all alone The mountains with their mystic grandeur Speak out to you in gilded voices Enticed you may just answer Afterall you'd rather be all alone Tell me something my would-be-lover Would you turn and run if I kissed you Here I am giving you forever But you seem to like it all alone Fate must really have it in for me Placing my happiness, in the form of you, within my grasp Have I ever told you I find your entire being the epitome of beauty? And yet you still yearn to be all alone So with you here I'm standing undercover The darkness of solitaire permeates our hearts Can't you see I'm giving you forever? Thanx, and yes it is sad; but more like emotionally crippling. Especially if that person is your best friend, and so much apart of your life. But alas, that is life. As they say s*** happens. Thanks again. pattie |

I feel the sadness of not being able to understand why one, so loved would prefer to be alone. Often I see them as a mountain of fear...either afraid of a hidden truth emerging or so insecure, they're afraid of accepting. That's sad, but I know some who'll constantly deny you love them regardless how much you do or reassure them. Be careful. |

I can't understand at times either, yet my love for him grows ever still. One day, perhaps one day, we can be together, or I will find the strength to move on. Yet for now I am content to love for the sake of loving him fully, and to know, despite it all he does truly love me back, if only in his own way. thanx, pattie |
