The sea and me When the rain falls it lands tenderly upon the shore When the waves roll in they reveal memories galore The rain, seawater and the sand make me feel at peace inside They help to wash my thoughts of you away with the tide Thoughts of you and I alone on the beach one perfect night Alone and in love holding each other tight But now I'm all alone you've gone to a higher place And in my heart I'm broken and our love I'll not replace You were my one and only no other could there be So here I am alone let the water set me free [This message has been edited by tracie66 (edited 01-20-2000).] |

This was very sad but well written. It sounds as if you lost someone. If that is the case, I'm sending you a hug. You aren't alone in that area. Don't gain my affections and cover my eyes. In blindness I will only swing harder. |

Sad indeed and I'm makes us weep Everytime we read It's always hard to figure out if a poem is writen based on fact's (most of them are) or fiction. If it was just happened or it's years back. So I try to look at the poem as a poem, but yes it's not easy to do. To leave emotions out of it, i mean. After all that's what poetry is all about. Well at least for me. A very nice piece and yes a hug form me just in case The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools. |
