                   The Flag

    There is a flag, flying high for sight
    in very few places, for some it's not right
    It's meaning it seems, varies with most
    as seen on the news, from coast to coast

    A symbol from time past, dark days for sure
    when all were not equal, tough time to endure
    Many lives lost, the time of Blue and Gray
    for some reasons now, debated even today

    Why the scramble, by those who cry cause
    a time when principle, should bring us pause
    To free our fellow man, unite a Nation apart
    at a time of suffering, renewed hope to start

    Land of the free, full of opportunity
    a destiny uncertain, lets have a decree
    Of this historic symbol, few would even brag
    What shall we do, with the Confederate Flag?

Interesting message you pose there Danny....shall we forget all those who lost their lives under that flag?
