Many moons have lived and died,since my imagination played. Back to a time,I bare a soul.That a theif slowly carried away... If only life were perfect,if my soul were only free. Where lived no demon,by the name of addiction.With his sharp teeth peircing me.. A wrath I wouldn't wish on a single creature.After suffering A ruthless attack... Somtimes even an army of your loved ones,can not pull it from your back.. It blinds me to all but temptation,it's presence won't let me see. As it carries away a life that I love,stealing all that matters to me.. Cast out because of my weakness, treated like a demon too. sitting in the dark shadow of your judgement,beware, I am just a diversion for you... There are many demons among us,they lay in wait before taking form. they've been tasting your sin hoping it will ripen,from the day that you are born... Should you fall prey a I have, ambushed in my weakest hour. Then pray to your god,your demon will lack the strenght of addiction's power.......... by Adam Roberts |

Wow Adam, You are in alot of pain is what I see, I hope this is a poem from your past,your old man,you mention god at the end when he is or should now be your begining. I feel the pain because I went through some major addictions Thanks to God I've come through it from glory to glory into the light of my everlasting Lord and savior through his Holy Spirit which now lives in me . We can do NOTHING without God through Jesus. If this poem is in your past , you really brought back alot of the feelings I used to have.Either way Thanks and good luck. Paul |

I can only say I hope and pray you are ok now....you write with such passion, which is good. Please be safe and careful, addiction is evil, we all know this. A very powerful poem...stay focused and stay with God.  If you should ever need someone to talk to email [email protected] |
