A Learned Experience Once I spoke of a poem to my friend, and in doing so had praised it highly, for it had moved me greatly, struck hard at the core of my being, left me searching for words to describe that would never of done justice to how I had truely felt.... Most of all though, I wanted this too, for my friend. But alas!It could never be! From the moment I opened my mouth I stripped him of what could, and rightfully should have been his. Each word spouted echoing its owners name! Thinking back now, had I been wise, the poem would have been left on a familiar path of his, resting, waiting, to be found... |

Welcome to Passions, Earthtones! Wonderful poem! Some things indeed are better left unsaid! Better to let a person have their own personal take on something than to have it shaded by others interpreations! Please check your email for a special welcome! |

SALUTATIONS Earthtones... Enjoyed the message portrayed here. I can think of nothing more exciting than stumbling across something and taking the glory in the find. Strategic planning can help observe someone enjoy the same thrill (hehehe). This takes me back to the beach, when after months of searching for a "scotch bonnet" (a type shell found in nc), I planted one for my son to find on the shore. What joy I took in seeing the expression of pure happiness at it's best when he "found" the treasure. Shh! That's our secret. THANKS FOR THE MEMORY! Opening mouth, inserting foot...yes, been there, done that. Welcome! I imagine, that if this is your first posting at Passions, and seeing the number of replies, you are going to be well received. Looking forward to reading more. Sunshine Look, then, into thine heart, and write ~~~ Henry Wadsworth Longfellow |

Welcome, I say! A stirring bit of introspection here -- looking forward to more adventures from you. --Kess Full fathom five thy father lies, Of his bones are coral made, Those are pearls that were his eyes; Nothing of him that doth fade But doth suffer a sea-change Into something rich and strange... --William Shakespeare, from The Tempest |
