Unknowing to me did this process begin Tearing away years of tenderness Unveiling a mast of unnatural feelings All new, all unwanted Impending still against all efforts to shun it Crept in like a lion Engulfing Enrapturing Taking over a place once saved for prayers of Thankfulness Frozen stiff A bitter sting bites your flesh as it is welded to my own There is no mending The icy walls which shield my heart < !signature--> "Heaven is under our feet as well as over our heads." ~Henry David Thoreau [This message has been edited by simplyYRREHS (edited 01-18-2000).] |

Hi, I enjoyed this poem, and was intrigued by the last two lines: "There is no mending the icy wall which shield my heart". Interesting! DH< !signature--> [This message has been edited by Danny Holloway (edited 01-18-2000).] |

Inriguing the style you write with But a heart can be warmed up again all it takes is love Thank you The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools. |

Seems to be familar. I know this feeling all too well. Very well done. "Life's greatest mystery isn't the meaning of life. To love and be loved is the meaning of life. Now how to attain those is the greatest mystery of all." |
