I lost my love today -------------------- I lost my love today I am very sad to say I seen her walk right by with another at her side I lost my love this week and now I never sleep I seen them in the park where we loved once in the dark I lost my love this year and I can not stop the tears I seen her glance at me and she did not even see.... I saw my love go by and Im sure I seen her cry I know what she would say She lost her love today. James Parker Haley (Jan 2000) |

A little bit of Karma I see in this coming back your love. Still, I'd be willing to bet it still hurt you seeing her crying, even after all that. Good poem. Michael |

Thanks Bridgette, Everytime I read it, its a sad reminder. Michael, you are right, it does hurt, even more when you can't be there for her. Thanks. Parker |

Very sad, James Denise And slight is the sting of his trouble Whose winnings are less than his worth; For he who is honest is noble, Whatever his fortunes or birth.~~~Alice Cary, ~Nobility~ |

devina, thanks I'll take those hugs, and raise it, with a sweet little kiss on the cheek. Thanks Denise, I loved that verse you added, about nobility. Meadowmuse, thanks I think it more about my emotions then trying to write a good poem. |

Very sad I do agree Couldn't you just talk and see? See that she felt the same way I wonder what she would say A nice poem your wrote but yes it's sad The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools. |

James, this is saddening, emotional, yet beautiful. *hugs* to you ~*~ ^i^ ~*~ Love is such a lonely art, and death is but a taste. Minds are merely instruments that often go to waste! ~*~ ^i^ ~*~ |

Thanks Helmut, Echo, Hoot, I really didn't want to make everybody sad. Endings bring new beginnings, and sad endings bring poetry. Parker |
