For the one I can never have, but will always keep a special place in my heart ~ forever his. Lose Time lost in a maelstrom of light Drifting, searching, lost Looking for an invisible genie Dreaming, wishing, wake Hoping for a vision come true I lose my head Don't forget me now! Don't forget our sharing Protect me always Swirls of color dancing Euphoria entrancing Dazed submission Heartache felt Sinking into an abyss the darkness swallows whole Fighting a mirror having it shatter to pieces A knife at my throat ceasing to breathe The walls closing in shrinking what's been possessed Voices in my head taking my own away The color fades The spinning stops The intoxication melts And still my heart aches I lose control Don't let go of me! Don't let me get away Hold me close Moving, shifting time moves forward Sensing, dreaming anticipation builds Everything once known dwindles away I once had then, I lose now Slipping far the dream smashes Going away time never stops I lose my home Don't leave me alone! Don't kill the memories Be with me Breathing softly, I scarcely move afraid the vision might break Turning away, I pretend all is right knowing that we could never be Closing eyes, I wish I had not seen you remembering everything like a diamond Mind swirling I smile wistfully in heady thought confusion touching my life Wishing on a clouded star I hope you have your own wish granted hating myself for wanting to be yours And as the sun rises touching the hills I look at you soft breath turning back blinded falling hoping I run away I lose my heart Don't break my gift! Don't break it into sand Love me tenderly |
