I Gave My Life To You By kdb 1/13/00 Once upon a time we met, a time in life I'll never forget. My heart was there, but not my own it longed for Love, it had not known. Then there was you, so precious a being, sent down from above, from the "All Seeing." Your beauty still forming, all radiance a glow, so soft, so sensuous, still beckoning to know. I saw you in the beginning, but only from afar, like the gaze you have when watching, a falling star. You know its' beauty is far beyond compare, so all you can do is sit back and stare. The day we finally met, is still a mystery, how one so blessed by God would even notice me. My heart jumped, it fluttered, its' valleys filled with joy, at the sound of her voice, saying "I like you, boy." I gave my heart away; I gave to her my all, I felt so happy with her, walking ten feet tall, I wanted just to hold her, to feel her skin so tone, I wanted just to keep her, to have her for my own. Her eyes were so deep, an end you could not see, I wanted to believe, that they were always meant for me. Her voice was like an angel, singing from above, her songs were light and graceful, like the down from a dove. Through her hands was given, the sound of music played, it touched the hearts of many, still touching them this day. The power that she possesses, can change the course of time, to bring a tear or raise a smile, through the simple sound of rhyme. She accepts my love, so endless and true, to always be faithful, forever and through, to cherish and to hold her from this day forward and to receive her love, would be my reward. |
