Listen to me, ye all who hear, I wish to make it known, all that I hold dear. Time is so irrelevant when it comes to this, This everlasting, blissful kiss. My one and only desire, Is to fan this flicker into a fire. It is I whom speaks by choice, This one heart, this one voice. I live for everything that exists within, The many tingling feelings that make your head spin. Deeply probing into many inner souls, Forever repairing, filling their cavernous, empty holes. Incessantly reminding of what is to be, Whether or not it is what your mind wishes to see. For it is I whom speaks by choice, This one heart, this one voice. All-in-all it is I who command, For you to obey my every demand. You see, your happiness stems from what I give, And in indulging me, is when you finally begin to live. So listen up, it is I whom speaks by choice, This one heart, this one voice.... |

This is wonderful! Truly a great poem! ~*~ Hell is not a place of fire and a devil with a tail and horns. But a place of torment because the light of God is gone. To escape this, accept the blood of Jesus Christ! ~*~ |

This is good..but I have a question...why is the speaker in the poem the one that must be obeyed? Just curious...thanks! |

Very powerful read here sir! (commanding, demanding) LOL I liked the tone alot! I guess you'd have to really know me to know why! hehe Um....you were certainly straightforward in this....I too, am curious as to the "power" the subject has. If you don't mind, would you explain the idea behind this piece? I'd love to know what brought this out of you! Will be checking back in to see your explanation! *** waiting impatiently - twiddling thumbs...... |

Mark, (ahem) are you out there somewhere? hehe We are all impatiently awaiting an answer to our question concerning this poem of yours! Are you still hung over on all that eggnog you were drinking at grandma's house the other night? Uh...when you sober up, get back to us, okay? |

Yes, I'm out here PFF....just getting over that holiday. It's been very hectic. Thank you everyone for all your kind words. Poet deVine, PFF, and all who's curious about who this so-called "speaker" may be, here's the answer. It of course is my inner love speaking. It's declaring that no matter what happens in your life, what you want or wish for, without it (love), you'll never really live....It speaks of how time is no factor, for it is eternal....sorry about all the confusion, And PFF, it wasn't eggnog I was drinking. |
