They've made a website for the Dutch National team, where you can read (in English) all about my daughter Lynn Karijn Geertman (and about every other member of the team). http://www.dutchsoftballteam.com/lynn_geertman.htm

She's travelling to the States tomorrow with the team for a four week training. /pip/Forum3/HTML/000496.html

I'm just so proud of her, knowing how determent she was to come back and how hard she worked after the heavy injury on her knee in 2000.

Please keep your fingers crossed that she will make it all the way to the Olympics and that her knee will hold, at least until after the Olympics.

She's taking her laptop with her to the States, so for anyone who want to give her a cheer in the coming weeks/months, email me for her email address. I think she would be thrilled to hear from her mother's Poetry friends.

Up till now the Dutch team has won all games they've played so far. Lynn's knee is holding rather well she wrote.

The team is doing well, lost only one game so far, but Lynn had a major set back on her knee and doesn't play at all at the moment. She has a strong mind though and wrote me that she's planning to overcome this desillusion too. It's still a few months till the Olympics. Please keep her in your mind and thoughts.

The team visited Pearl Harbor and was very, very impressed. Lynn fell in love with Hawaii she said.
