Just today I wondered about John as it was a long time that he didn't post his poems (August).

I have always highly appreciated his poetry. Another sorrow for a long time Pip member.

May he rest in peace.

Thank you Essorant for letting us know.

Love,
Margherita

We are missing many now....
life will never be the same, but
there is the challenge.
Life does go one. We will take into
aspect Huan Yi's [John's] words, read
and re-read them, and remind ourselves

another poet is writing....
on another plane.

Go, John, Rest in Peace, please. I
will miss you.

My sincere condolences to his family.  We have lost another intelligent, and articulate poet.  I enjoyed his work.

Hadn't heard from John since early August after sending him a note about Helen.  I have been wondering why he would have disappeared from PIP.  I didn't imagine this, though I might have.
I have lost many poet friends and old friends this summer, here at PIP and elsewhere, and most younger than I am.  Too many.  Sad and sobering.
We concoct an array of tales and myths to deny it, not the least of which we might find here.  And so it will continue, to father a continuum of poetry to allay the pain . . .
Write on all you poets, savor the salve of words while you can.

I had suspected that John was ill for some time now from something he said in an email once. He appeared to be a very private person so I didn't want to ask too many questions. He was a fine poet and I will miss his presence here at PIP. Far too many poets have left us lately and I grieve for each of them.

Thinking of you, John. I'll miss your poems and the notes that you sent now and then.  You challenged me.

Fly on, poet.

I am shocked to the bone.  I didn't know him very well, but always read his beautiful poetry and often commented on it.
