A short note to say hello to all on this forum. I joined the group today with views of reading and posting poetry. I have been writing poetry since the late 1960s (now that can give my age away) and have short works published in magazines and anthologies. On top of that I have recently released my second chapbook of poetry. I am currently a member of The Poetry Society (UK). As you will probably find, although I write poetry, grammar is my worst enemy. Looking forward to interacting with you. |

Sunshine, please don't feel offended, but as much as I appreciate the greeting card you have apparently sent me, I never feel comfortable opening them. Some greeting cards can have hidden viruses, which is a curse in our modern-day computerised world. I have an anti-virus programme, but even they are not always 100% affective. |

Welcome aboard Ron. I look forward to reading your work. You don't have to worry about the greeting cards that come from Piptalk. They come directly from here with no hidden viruses. |

Thank you for putting my fears at rest with regards to the greeting card. I did open it and it looks fantastic. Thank you to Sunshine. It's a beautiful greeting for a new member. |

Welcome aboard! Your artwork is simply stunning, so I can't wait to read your submissions of poetry. The pebbles you did in watercolor is fantastic! |

Looking forward to seeing some of your stuff. I've never done any chapbooks, but I'm very fond of the U.K. scene. Grammar is a serious pain for me as well. When my wife and I got down to London, we really loved the readings at Betterton House. Two guys who edited The Wolf were really sweet, and everybody was very friendly. I think we're about the same age. I'm very fond of Poetry Review and Ambit, both first rate magazines, though I'm ten years out of date. All my best, Bob Kaven |
