I'm not sure how many remember adagio (my friend Ralph) but after his being AWOL in my life, yesterday he found me. (Those of you who remember Ralph might remember his quirky poetry inspired by his job as a cab driver, but in my opinion, his best was the love poetry inspired by his now deceased wife, Leah.)

Leah took very good care of Ralph, so after her death he was pretty lost, and now he faces another challenge since he has suffered a stroke. He has paralysis on his left side, and is in a local rehab center learning how to walk and use his left arm and hand again.

I'm happy to report that his speech is unimpaired, and he seemed to be sharper in the mind than he has been since Leah's death.

Please pray for our poet friend, if you're the praying kind. I'll be checking in on him as soon as I am able. He sends his love.

I send Ralph my love. I was shocked to read this, but if he can contact you, he can contact the world. Please, please keep us in touch of Ralph. Thank you, serenity, for being a cornerstone in the lives of so many.

Karen, I don't know Ralph, but I am sorry to hear of his situation and I would like to add my prayers to God and best wishes to him for his recovery in every way.  Please pass on my message, though he won't know me.  Thank you, Karen, for your compassion and kindness and concern for him and everyone around you.  You are a true friend.

Just remember us to him, my friend. He needs to know that he has touched more in his life than his Leah, who many of us learned to love through him.

Tell him that even those who don't remember him/never knew him have him in our thoughts.

Certainly I'll put in a prayer for your friend Ralph; and one for you too, Serenity.  Can't hurt.  All my best.  Bob K.

He's up and walking, and making good progress.

He told me it was okay to extend his gratitude to you all on his behalf.

My husband had a massive stroke 2 years ago and he played golf this morning.  He has to take a cart, but it's almost a miracle that he can even play again.

Tell him to keep up his good work and not to give up.  We're pulling for him.

God bless!
