Women in Judaism’s First Annual Fiction and Non-fiction Competition www.womeninjudaism.org Women in Judaism: A Multidisciplinary is now accepting submissions for its 2010 annual writing competition. The e-journal is looking for unpublished submissions of short fiction, poetry, and essays on Jewish themes that touch the lives and experiences of Jewish women. PRIZES: Short Fiction First Place: $250 Second Place: $100 Third Place: $50 Poetry First Place: $250 Second Place: $100 Third Place: $50 Essays First Place: $250 Second Place: $100 Third Place: $50 Winning entries will be published in the two yearly issues of the journal. GENERAL GUIDELINES: We accept only electronic submissions. Send submissions to the journal’s editor-in-chief, Dr. Dina Ripsman Eylon: dina.eylon@utoronto.ca Submit one short story/poem/essay per entry fee. Multiple submissions are allowed. All styles and forms are accepted. No simultaneous submissions are allowed. Submissions should arrive by email before the set deadline. DEADLINE: September 1, 2010. FORMAT: All entries should be in Word or RTF with author’s full name, address, phone number, and email address, appearing on the first page of each entry. ENTRY FEE: $10 (US/CAD) fee for each short story or essay. $5 (US/CAD) for each poem.
