Marge's birthday was October 12th - I had meant to write on her day, but am out of town.  However, I am sure she won't mind if I am a day late (it's still the thirteenth here).

Marge, happy birthday.  I believe that you smile upon us and send us encouragement as we strive to be better poets, friends and people.

Thank you for the love and friendship that you offered me.  My regret is that I did not know you longer.

Happy Birthday, Marge - you are remembered and loved.

I spent part of Monday reading poems that are particularly special to me. *S* I used to laugh with chagrin that I'd once married a horticulturist who never gave me flowers... then loved a poet who found me uninspiring. *S* But that doesn't mean I don't have poems written for me... Marge saw to that. *S*

Titia just sent me this link. Thank you for remembering my mom's birthday. We put a birthday memorial in the newspaper for her. We used a picture of her holding her first grandchild (I would put the picture here if I knew how). And here's what the ad said:
