Hi all, Mommy Muys will be 98 in two weeks, on August 24 and as she's still talking about her friends on the blue pages, I thought maybe, in stead of wishing her a Happy Birthday here on PIP, you could send her a card, which she can hold and show to people. If you want to do that, let me know and I'll send you her address. I know it's early, but cards from overseas take at least 4/5 days to get here. She isn't on the computer very often anymore, the passing away of Marge has had great impact on her. Loosing her overseas friend seemed to have set her back in enjoying the pc. Once in a while she's still playing bridge on her computer. She's doing ok, enjoying each day as it comes, driving her scooter to the next village or beach to eat a pancake and sip some coffee. Getting flat tires sometimes and then hobbling, hobbling home, calling the maintainance man to fix it again. I know she would be thrilled getting cards from her poetry friends. Thanks for all the response, I know she will be thrilled and very amazed to get cards from her PIP friends. I'm taking her on a weekend trip to see both my sisters, because they can't come to her, due to the fact that their husbands can't travel that distance anymore. Titia, I would love to hear a report on the road trip. I told my wife what you're doing. She takes care of two different ladies. One is 92 and the other is 95. She chuckled. The 92 year old was shuffling to another room the other day and said, "She felt like she was 90." Nancy said, "Well that's because you are." And when she told her she was 92 she said, "Oh my!"  |

Well, only one night sleep and she'll be 98. Just want to thank you for participating. She was very surprised when the cards from overseas came rolling in her mailbox. She's telling to everyone that she got birthday cards from her PIP friends. Plan succeeded, thanks for your effort. Great gift, she's enjoying them very much and will surely thank you all personally in time. Like scattered leaves...my words will flow |

She had a wonderful birthday. One of my sisters had rented a holiday house nearby and we went for dinner there on Sunday evening. Today Mom got a lot of phone calls from the family and I took her to lunch at my sisters again. Dropped her off at home at about 16.00pm and the plan was to pick her up again at about 18.00pm. to dine at my daughters house. It was very hot and sunny today, but just as I was home again, clouds were coming in from the South and it looks it was going to pour rain. So Mom decided to stay home. She was a bit tired too. I'll pick her up tomorrow afternoon to visit our daughter, before she's leaving for Dubai again on Wednesday. She will thank you all in person I think. Thanks for thinking about her. Hi guys, Just to let you know that Mommy Muys was really delighted to get all your cards. She whishes to answer personally to all who send one, but her computer is working so slow, we need to reinstall Windows, so it might take a while. And I'm waiting for a few pictures my daughter took when we had dinner in her little yard. |
