I wondered if you might consider marking your calendar as March 28th is Earth Hour. 2,712 cities, towns and municipalities in 83 countries have already committed to VOTE EARTH for Earth Hour 2009, as part of the worlds first global election between Earth and global warming, and this hour begins at 8:30 p.m. We can all help by shutting down our lights for that one hour. If more of us do it than not, we can all do our little part to help with global warming. Thank you from me and my grandkids, who will receive our legacy. Here is a link if you haven't heard of this before, and I hope you might consider joining in. Thanks for reading this. Remember to mark your calendar. EARTH HOUR Carpe' Diem |

/pip/Forum19/HTML/000364.html This is very important for sure! ~ Thank you Mysteria for making people remember, Hopefully we all can make a difference! Up above is a suggestion I made that will hopefully help with people at PIP to take action! ARCTIC WIND [This message has been edited by Sunshine (03-26-2009 09:43 AM).] |

Hey Artic Wind, what a good idea. Maybe everyone can write their poem for Mother Earth starting on March 28th, at 8:30 p.m. by candlelight, then the date of your choice thereafter? Stranger things have happened. Great suggestion by Artic Wind - perhaps our Pipp poets may take him up on his challenge? Earth Hour Challenge From Artic Wind |

That would include tuning off the screen you are reading this on . . . A "day" might be a decent challenge, for beginners. Ya, I know Earth Day has been taken. How about "Globe Day, reflections on a light bulb"? |

SEA great Idea to get the kids involved! ~ It sucks that I wont be able to take part in it because I am going to see a movie tonight. But the lights are going to be off, right? I am going to see The Haunting in Connecticut! ARCTIC WIND |

Good thing they are not going to use any power while showing the Haunting in Connecticut. I think the global warming demonstrations in the mid-west have been canceled due to freezing weather since this is one of the coldest winters on record. |
