Midnitesun, I'm still around, I got busy with real life and I'm leading a poetry group once a fortnight. There are some talented poets in Australia so I don't write much because I can't compete. This is one I don't know if I'veposted but since this is not likely to be read by lots, here it is again. Beyond Bliss I have bargains with the devil debts I cannot pay My soul wastes away caught in the undertow of life. A younger I stood idly and watched sunsets fire horizons beyond my grasp I am Pan of the pipes aching to be restored in music tho’ envy keeps me on the cusp makes holes in my silence I weep from wanting Rise on wings of mourning to be reborn again. I braid a mandala of waiting from strands of infrequent happiness which arrive without warning pass too quickly I am colour surreal Pigments of imagination but lack the black of conformity. I hold breath in symbols Hieroglyphs of history awaiting translation by generations raised beyond time. My spirit once sold gavottes through probabilities incurs debts of soul accounting. I am the nails in the cross The cave of resurrection The pursuit of elation to give meaning outside all things. I carry a basket of craving in beggar’s shoes Still the piper comes. If any of those poets down under are better than YOU, I want to read them! *S* Beyond Bliss is incredible... I miss your words, my friend... Kethry! Good grief another December b'day I've missed. Hope it was a great day. I can't tell if my hearing is failing me or my eyes. Did you say you can't compete so you aren't writing much? I didn't know those were the rules or I'd have quit a long time ago too. Come on now, being average like me is kind of fun. Let's see a little more writing this year. |
