Our Margie has had a very rough day I'm afraid. I just received an email from her daughter, who asked me to pass it along to Marge's friends. So here is what Tracey said: "We brought her to Shands Hospital in Gainesville today for a bronchoscopy as an outpatient. There was a problem during the procedure, and the doctor accidentally collapsed her lung. She had another procedure before where they collapsed her lung on purpose to reach an area for a sample, at that time a tube was inserted, she healed on her own but has a lot of pain. This time the lung was not supposed to collapse, but a tube had to be inserted again. Hopefully it too will heal on it's own, and hopefully she won't have a lot of enduring pain after the tube is removed. Anyway, because of the problem, she had to be admitted to the hospital. We did not anticipate that. She should have been home hours ago. She is in a lot of pain right now but doing pretty good otherwise. She had a very long and difficult day. I am writing you from a computer in the lobby of a hotel near the hospital. She does not have access to email. She ate some dinner and is resting now. But she wanted me to tell you so you would know and would be able to spread the word. She is not up to phone calls right now, so that's why I'm not including a phone number." So I'm asking yet again to please keep your loving and powerful prayers of healing and comfort for Marge going. I know you will, as will I. We love you Marge! Be well.  and rest.. |

Marge, poor girl! I do pray you overcome your pain very soon and that your courage stays strong. We are eager for your return and for you to be in good health. Please hang in there. |

Thank you Tracey for contacting Karen and thank you Karen for posting. Shands Hospital in Gainesville is a very good teaching hospital and they have the newest and the best means available. Know that Marge is in good hands. With that and herfamily, home friends and PIP friends she is going to be okay. "late" |

Ow. Collapsed lung. My 21 year old grandson just experienced this for the 3rd time and said the pain is horrendous. Hopefully it will heal quickly and fully. Also, I'm praying the cause of your lung problem is found. Thanks to Tracie and Karen for informing us. God bless, Rae |

I don't know if this is new news or not, but I got word from Tracie today: "Mom has asked me to update you. She is still in Shands Hospital in Gainesville. She still has a chest tube and a lot of pain. The leak in her lung has gotten smaller, following a procedure called a blood patch, that was used to help seal the leak. She will have a repeat blood patch tonight. There have been some ups and downs all week, but today I believe she is starting to turn the corner and get healthy again. Let's hope she gets out this week and gets back home. My brothers and I are taking turns going up to be with her. She is anxious to get well and get back on the computer with her friends. --Tracie" Send all your angels onto Marge--I seem to be in excellent hands here. Much love and prayers to Marge and family--continued. |

Of course we'll reroute the angels, but I truly think there are enough around to share equally and still have the strength of thousands more... so I'm not letting go of either of you! Marge, tell those docs to leave you alone for five minutes and to quit probing and prodding you and you'll get better quicker! |
