I'm pretty sure I'm bi-sexual.

It wasn't exactly a decision...

more like an acknowledgement of my unabashed appreciation.

It's not exactly preference either, so I can't say that I am one way or the other.

Maybe I should finish up my thoughts on this in a dicussion forum...? I dunno.

but say, like with you? You have got the most gorgeous, widest, brown eyes, and I expect they sparkle like quartz, with flecks of yellow light. You also have shown great compassion, fortitude, and generosity. Just so you know that it's not just that you've got great "lights".

(I'm just going by your Pip-pic, but truly, just lovely, Sue.)

And I'm a hand-holder, cuddle-hungry sorta being too. Women are very good at that. I'm not saying men aren't, but with women, there's less rude bumping that is not always what I want.

So yep, I think it's pretty obvious that my dual-option-mode has always been apparent. To everyone else. I love the combination of strength and vulnerability apparent in so many women. I very much love and admire men who also display those qualities. I happen to think it takes a great deal of strength to be open regarding that vulnerability.

I just thought I'd announce it. Because I happen to think it's okay.

If it's not okay, then my apologies if I've broken a forum guideline--and I'm also okay with my announcement being moved--but only if I thought I'd made someone truly squeamish.

It wasn't a bid for deliberate shock. I just wanted to do this for me, and for other folks, who might feel like they are all alone.

So, now ya'll know I mean it when I say:

Love to all.

And oh I do love you all. It's just not always in an intimate way.

Came back to add--

I am married--to a man.

I did take vows and have kept them.

So I can't say that I have tested my theory in um, full "swing"? *wince* Not since my marriage, and not before, according to the best of my recollection.

I personally love you just the way you are,

I have to amend this.

I am a practicing celibate with bi-sexual inclinations.

And that one sentence explains soooooooo much about me.

You are "a practicing celibate" ( I assume this means your husband complains of headaches a lot), "with bi-sexual inclinations", if the assumption is correct who wouldn't wonder what the grass was like on the other side of the fence.

You are who you are, and from what I have seen here, that is simply one wonderful human being, what else does one need to know.

My dear Karen, you never cease to surprise and amaze! Love your impish forthrightness!

But of course someone with your sense of adventure and love of exploration would contemplate enjoying the fruits of the fairer sex.

Besides, with all that love that you have inside of you, this just broadens your opportunities to share that seething passion that is welling up inside of you! ~ Ooops! I'm getting carried away!

Seriously speaking, Serenity, I suppose (I love alliteration) that if you were to ever find yourself in that situation, you would make the best of it!

Be proud of who you are ~ or think you are!

I'm with you, girlfriend! ~ in a platonic way! lol

I'm so proud of you to admit this on the forums and just want to say that you are one step ahead of most as most truly don't know what or who they are. Embrace this part of your sexuality as well as every other wonderful part of you that makes you the special person that you are.
We love you now as much as ever

Um ... aren't we all ... at least to a certain extent? Your "outing" made me smile and did not surprise me excessively

I love to hold hands too. I used to walk hand in hand with my best friend (some time ago !) but my husband criticized that innocent attitude because he thought we gave a certain impression. We were both unaware then and barely knew that there were women who loved women ... It just felt good and normal to us.

You are a fantastic woman, dear Karen!

Love and hugs.

I feel like I'm being congratulated on being...admittedly confused.

But seriously, I do come from a long, lovely line of strong women, and for the past seven (eight?) years, I have seen the absolute loveliest line of the same here at Pip.

I look at the women of Pip and think:

"Ron's bloody well brilliant."

I'll find your diploma as soon as I find one for "wife" "lover" "mother" and "friend".

Karen,

You are sure a character, but a marvelous one at that. So here's to you and your strength in admitting your "confused", as you put. From the little time I've known you, you have been a simply fabulous gal, no matter how you describe yourself, be it a menopausal practicing celibate with bi-sexual tendencies, or not.

Oh... and Seren, I think you can get your diploma at the DMV between the times of 5-6, but be forewarned there is ALWAYS a crowd. (j/k)
