She has what is called Langerhan cell histiocytosis, which is a rare blood disorder. It has invaded her lungs, ears and bone marrow. They are going to have to do surgery Monday to repair a hole in her lung, but that is just a stop gap measure. They are going to eventually have to do a lung transplant. She is looking at chemo, and probably a bone marrow transplant as well. They are still doing tests to determine if it has also invaded her kidneys and liver. She is very sick and very scared and my son is about out of his mind. Please hold her up.

Paula, this is such sad news.

I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers and hope that they can come up with the transplants needed.

May each of you be granted the strength you need to do what you need to do, and the love to hold onto each other up during this very difficult time, until her recovery.

Paula,
Sometimes knowing is as bad as not knowing. But we have very specific concerns now to pray for. I pray you all find strength and courage to endure and that your daugher-in-law finds both peace and healing. May God bless he Doctors and her treatment that she might be restored to good health.

She is so much better. It isnt in her bone marrow, but she will still have to do six weeks of chemo. She is having a port put in tomorrow.
