I try not to ask too much here on these pages of blue ... but this is near and dear to my heart~ http://www.tresmiracle.com Tre is the great grandson of a friend of mine from my college days~ I have written to United States Senator Mel Martinez, FL (R) and to Oprah Winfrey, and to First Lady, Laura Bush, to ask for their assistance in helping Tre's mother, Abby, and the family in any way they possibly can~ Stop by and read what it will take for a miracle of sight for 16 month old Elioe 'Tre' Burgos, III~ Perhaps the friends of this circle-wide can find someone to write to, asking for help for Tre~ I pray that you will be moved to help in some way~ I will see that Tre's family is aware of the prayers coming his way~ Thank you, friends~ *Huglets*  ~*Marge*~ ~*The sound of a kiss is not as strong as that of a cannon, but it's echo endures much longer*~ Email - [email protected] |

Wow, that has to be difficult for that family, especially going overseas for treatment. They need some big time fund raisers to bring in the size of help they need. I'll pray for them. Rae |

Friends~ If you can think of anyone to send Tre's link to that might be able to help this family out ... please do~ HERE IS THE INFORMATION FROM TRE'S SITE - -------------------------------------------------- Elioe Burgos III (Tre), of Daytona Beach, Florida was born on June 7, 2006. When Tre was only three months old, he was diagnosed with “Optic Nerve Hypoplasia”. Optic Nerve Hypoplasia (ONH) refers to the underdevelopment of the optic nerve during pregnancy. Tre’s vision is thought to be no better than 20/400, which is legally blind. In most cases there is no known cause of ONH. ONH is not progressive, is not inherited, and cannot be cured. Or that is what we were told. While doing research, we located www.stemcellschina.com and www.biekebiotech.com which have developed a treatment for Tre’s condition. In February of 2008, Tre will travel to Hangzhou Hospital in Hangzhou City, China, to undergo umbilical stem cell treatments to help restore his vision. Unfortunetly, there are no medical facilities within the United States that offer this type of treatment. Umbilical stem cells from a healthy, live birth will be used for this treatment. The treatment includes 4-6 umbilical stem cell injections which consist of 10-15 million stem cells per injection over a period of 20 to 30 days. The treatment will cost over $25,000.00. Tre will also need Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatments five days a week for many months upon his return. The cost of the hyperbaric oxygen treatments will cost around $20,000.00. Tre's family is hoping to raise $75,000.00 that will be needed for the treatment, aftercare, and travel expenses. We hope that Tre will be blessed with the miracle of sight. Dear Marge, you are such a generous loving soul, thank you for allowing us to be aware of this very heartwrenching case. I went on the site and there is only an address to send something. It would be certainly an advantage if people could use also paypal. It would be so much easier. But they would need an account on paypal too of course. Who knows maybe someone might help them doing this? You have done well writing those letters. I am sure there will be an echo! Marge, I followed your link to the Tre’s web page, and my prayers are already on the way. I did notice that one couple, and maybe more are from Washington state, which is where I am located.
