Dear friends here at PIP, I'm asking for your prayers for these continuing health problems I've been having. Some of you may already know that during 4th of July weekend 2006 I was bitten on the stomach by a spider ( probably brown recluse ) and developed a large open sore that took about 6 months to heal. In Aug of 2006 I began to develope an itching rash with small sores on my arms and legs, after going to three different dermatologists I was told that I had what is called an ID reaction where the body actually thinks it is allergic to its own skin and starts to attack it from the inside out. The doctor felt that this was triggered by the spider bite. The rash is very itchy and requires the use of steroid creams 2 -3 times daily to keep it tolerable and has spread to my back also now. It calms down a bit from time to time but never really goes away. Then to top things off in Jan 2007 I started to develope severe respitory allergies to everything - dust, molds, grass, pollen, weeds, cats and dogs, you name it - that I was never allergic to before. I'm currently taking 4 allergy shots a week as well as claritin, nasonex, and atarax on a daily basis all without much success. I can't get the doctors to say so, but I feel this all stems back to the spider bite. Between the rash and the allergies I'm becoming to feel beat down by this whole thing especially since it has been going on now for over a year and there are no real answers as to why this is happening. I ask for your prayers, if not for healing perhaps just for the strength to continue this route until they figure out what is going on the the correct way to treat things. My thoughts and special prayers are with you Ruth, that you will experience a complete healing. I have been in the natural health industry for many years and have found natrual healing methods to work very well. If you are interested, contact Marge Tindal and she will give you my email address. Dear Ruth: What a nightmare for you! Have you checked with the Mayo Clinic to see if they have a department that deals with spider bites that are so toxic? Or there may be another clinic in some area where such spiders are prevalent. I have a friend in Nevada who is having similar problems from a spider bite and I know she is searching the country for a treatment source. Ruth I will be praying for a healing as well, My friend was biten by the same spider and he has all kinds of problems from it as well. If I hear anything posative I will share it with you. Keep the faith! Huggs kimberly |

Ruth I am so sorry that you are having to endur this. Those spider bites are horrible. As others have said please don't stop seeking a doctor that will have the answer that you need. You will be in my prayers for healing & strenght to get you through this. Hugz |

Thank you all for your prayers. With all that was going on with my mother-in-law I've not time to drop in. Although the rash continues as does the other problems I've finally gotten on some medication to help with the itching so I can rest at night. After all this time, my physician is going to test for Celiac disease...unsure of what exactly that was I did a little research online and low and behold it is an auto-immune disorder and one of the symptoms is a itchy skin rash ( the pictures online were my rash to a tee ). I'm hopeful that I'll have a correct diagnosis soon and althoug there is no cure for this it can be treated by a very strict diet. Thank you again for all the prayers Ruth |
