FriendsOfTheCircle~

I have received some sad medical news from our own dear Enchantress/NancyLee that concerns the health of her dear husband, John, affectionately known as 'The Wiz' -
Nancy writes -
quote:
THURSDAY-
Just to bring you up to date on the Wiz...not so good.  He went for a stress test yesterday and collapsed during it.  The cardiologist now has him on a nitro patch and says there is a blockage somewhere...Just don't know where but it isn't good.  He is going for an angiogram as soon as they can schedule one and in the meantime cannot do a thing!  It's very hard to keep him down because he is/was such an active man....and still tries to do things...but now even climbing the stairs gives him chest pains.  It hurts to see him like this.  I hope he can get in and get to the bottom of this soon...whether he has to go to London for bypass surgery or whatever it takes.

FRIDAY-
He saw the cardiologist today after collapsing on the treadmill test..he will go in as soon as they can get him in for an angiogram...then perhaps a bypass.
In the meantime....he is on extra rest...not even stair climbing...doctor says it is a bad blockage.

Please keep him in your prayers Marge.

The Wiz could use a little magic from the Man upstairs right now...I would appreciate it and I know he would too.
I would ask that all members please keep John and Nance in prayer vigil~

I would also appreciate it if each of you will forward this link to others at PiP so that we may all join in prayerful voice to the Greatest Healer of All Time~

Nance~
You let John know that the vigil has begun~
Loving you both and holding you in my heart~

Nancy Lee,
I know a little about The Wiz's troubles. Please know that you are both in my prayers. Hopefully a stint is all that is needed. Just make sure he follows Doctor's orders. May you both have the strength and courage for this challenge. And may God grant you both peace and for The Wiz, healing.

in my prayers too.

Dear Nancy, push hard on doctors...UK health  system is very slow, very slow. and read some information in the net. it will help you to communicate with doctors. Always get second and third opinions. and still, don't trust them, trust your husband on how he feels. http://www.americanheart.org/presenter.jhtml?identifier=3053

As you know, Dear Nancy, I've been there and it is a very frightening situation to be in ~ however, after my quadruple coronary by-pass surgery, I was given a new lease on life and am full of vim and vigor! Thank God-ness for modern-day medicine! Hopefully, John will not require anything as invasive as that, but if he does, I know that he will go through it all with flying colours! ~ Afterall, he is a wizard!

My love, thoughts and prayers are with you both.

Love & healing hugs,
Linda

daddy god, you hear your children
when they ask for bread
and when they fear
the night shadows

here them now
when they lift one of your own
to a place of prayer

if it be your will
heal the heart here
that only you can make new

I'm very sorry to hear this, Nancy. On the good side, perhaps it's fortunate that they found the blockage in time before it could issue an attack or stroke. Sometimes these things work out for the best and I pray this is one of those times. Prayers to you both.....

Marge my dearest friend~
Thank you so much for gathering together the circle of prayer. I think you know just how much this kind gesture is appreciated.

To all of those who hold John and I in your thoughts and prayers, I want you to thank you.
I promise I will update you as time goes on, as to what the cardiologist decides to do and when.

I also would like to thank those of you who have been through this or something similar and told of it here.  Earth Angel your comments left me with great hope for a bright future for John.

Balladeer, yes I am SO pleased I nagged and nagged this 'never sick' man to go and get himself checked out when he started with the  tightness in the chest and the tiredness after very little activity.  Had been let go he could have easily had a stroke or heart attack.  It could really be a blessing in disguise.

Once again..I thank you!
May God Bless each and every one of you!
Hugs and love, Nancy

Dear Nancy,

Sorry that your husband has been diagnosed with heart troubles, but, as was already mentioned, I am very very thankful that you persevered and that he did go in when he did. Thank God. I do pray that the condition will fall short of requiring open heart surgery and will be resolved before reaching that stage.... and I do hope and pray that your dear dear husband will soon be back to his energetic young self and keeping you both extra busy and on your toes.

God bless and know that our prayer and best of wishes have already been sent out to you both.

FriendsOfThePrayerCircle~

I heard from Enchantress/Nancy several times today-
quote:
At the hospital this morning, John had an Angiogram done.
They did find a 90% blockage.

The nurse also said they were sending the film to the cardiac hospital in London, and if they approve they will be able to do a repair by Angioplasty here in Windsor.

I am truly praying this will happen, that it can be done here.  If this is what is decided then it will be performed this coming Monday or Tuesday.

John will be released to return home for the weekend and we will wait for the news to tell us what we are to do next week.

Keep John in your prayers, please.
Knowing that we will all continue this vigil of prayer for our friends~

Friends~

I have the newest update from Nancy on John and the situation as it stands right now~
quote:
John saw the cardiologist yesterday and he will be admitted to the hospital here on Tuesday to have stents inserted where the heart is clogged.  These stents will help keep the artery open.  A cardiologist is coming from two hours away in London to perform the procedure here.  Now is anything happens before, during or after the procedure, John will be quickly transported to Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit.
So please keep John in your prayers.  If all goes well he will just be in for a few short days.
I know that she KNOWS we are keeping the prayer vigil ...
and the PiP Prayer Angels are a huge 'voice' right to the TOP~

John ... be strong~

Just got an email from Nancy~
quote:
"The procedure went well...they are monitoring him closely and will through-out the night. They discourage visitors, and will only allow one at a time if someone goes up to see him.

But, he made it through this hurdle...have not talked to the doctors yet to find out exactly how it went, but, with all the prayers that were prayed, and all the love that was sent..he couldn't help but make it.

Sorry if this is jumbled....I am so very very tired.... but I believe everything is going to be okay and we can exhale now.
Thank God...and thank you for gathering the prayer circle.
John and I appreciate it so much.
Love and hugs~Nancy"
And, as I told Nance in a reply to her email ... now it is time to say our 'Thank Yous' to the Lord of our knowing~

We'll keep on praying for John's strength to be gained ...
and for comfort, rest and peace for them both~

Thank you so much everyone!

Your postive thoughts, prayers, emails and notes left here have meant so much to both John and myself.

John was released from hospital today and already I can see the color back in his cheeks!  His hands still feel cool in this 90 degree weather, but I'm sure they will warm up soon enough...and hey!..I can hold them.

It is so truly amazing what they can do in this world of modern medicine.

Thankfully this was caught in time, and there was only the one blockage to reopen with the 'balloon' angioplasty, and one stent put in place.

He is on a lot of medication and I expect that to be for quite some time. Some of them for the rest of his life.

Diet and exercise is next in the planning.

Although John has always been a very active person, always on the go, and watched what he ate, this type of thing runs in his family, so he has to double up on his efforts to stay healthy.

Once again I thank all of you my Passions family
for everything during this trying time.
Bless you all,
Nancy/Enchantress & John/the Wiz.

Thank God for answered prayers.

If John has to double up on his efforts to stay with us all, then it is not so suprising that his PiP family will double up their efforts to make sure that he knows just how much he means to us, through you.

Without him, I doubt we would have been blessed with so many love poems from you.

John...

sit in the Sunshine, m'dear...and get well soon!

Nance~
All packed and ready to hit the highway
tomorrow morning before the break of day
for the BIG ATLANTA, GA~

Will 'try' to check in while there ... but, if I can't ... just know that you and John are never far from my prayers and my heart~

I pray for continuing strength for John and some rest for you ... comfort that you both will be A-Okay for a long, long time to come~

LOVE YOU BOTH~ .... Yup, I do~

As our Lord directs this healing, may many see His constant love.

Praying that healing is completed without any additional hitches.
