On A Journey To The Unknown

0 posted 2007-04-16 04:39 PM

Thank you all for your prayers and well wishes. After all of the usual tests to check for a heart attack, they discharged me. I didn't have a heart attack. But, they had me go to another doctor, before going home. That doctor gave me a different medicine for my severe heartburn, and told me to return in 2 weeks. The medicine he wants me to take for the severe heart burn is expensive. So, he gave me enough samples of the medicine to last for 2 weeks. I still have the severe pain in my left arm. But, maybe it will be gone in a few days. The doctor said that because I have had such severe heartburn for over a month, that he thinks it did some damage to my esophagus. Thank you all for caring.

I am so glad to know that you are safely home.
It is good that you did not have a heart attack.
For the left arm pain, pay attention to your neck bone too.
take very good care of yourself.
love, more love,  lots lots of big hugs, many many kisses to you.
may God bless you!

You might need to ask the doctors about a different menu to help curb the problems with heartburn, dear.  I'm glad that is all it was.

I remember years ago when my potassium was low, and a muscle in the middle of my chest "caught", and I could stand up straight from bending over the dryer.  I thought I was dying!  The doctor literally had to lay me down, to straighten me up.  Very, very painful...

So good to know that you are home.

Sue, so glad you are back home and not needing to deal with a heart attack (how scary that must have been). I'm glad that you are on your way to recovery.
Hugs, Shawna

Heartburn often mimics heart attacks. When something similar happened to me several years ago, it became very important to stay sitting upright after eating especially after spicy foods.  I also took Prilosec for four years but have been able to stop. Good luck on handling these symptoms, and glad that you are back home!

Ah, what a relief it is to see you're home.  Thank God you got that checked out...sure sounded like heart attack symptoms. I pray this severe heartburn problem gets under control at a minimal cost for you.

  Hugs,

Glad to hear you are home Sue and especially that you did not have a heart attack. Take care of that heartburn though as it can get to be a pretty serious condition too.

Pete
