Hi very much missed Pipsters Please will any people who have emailed me regularly or irregularly please re-send me your email addresses, as I lost them all when I had my laptop (and camera and cell phone) stolen from my bedroom (with me in it!). I have replaced my laptop, and - thanks to Enchantress who sent me an email - I was able to get the website address for Pip again. I hope to be back at Pip fairly soon, but time and work-constraints are limiting me, and very especially the burglars, as I am expecting them back once they feel I have had enough time to replace their items of choice, and so I haven't been able to work on my laptop at night (that is killing me as I used to work for hours and hours and hours on my laptop at night - and that is now affecting my daytime work - as I can't get enough work done during the day). I wish I knew whether the burglars think in days or months or years. However, I am getting a couple more items of security put in place, and that should deter them a little bit. However, as my mother used to say, worse things happen at sea - not that I wish that on sailors!  Hoping to be getting some email addresses from Pip friends Love Owl |

Hello dear Owl, I missed you, as many others here no doubt, and I am happy to hear that you are fine, even if you had to endure this deploring event. Same thing happened to us, we also were in bed (better not to wake up though, because the burglars are not gentlemen anymore like ... say Arsene Lupin!!!). Thanks Margherita, Marge, Martie, Sunshine and Midnitesun, and also to those who emailed me directly - I have replied to those via email. It is good to feel connected again. Margherita and Midnitesun, I am sorry that you went through the same thing. It is very scary and upsetting. Thanks for all the concern. I haven't been writing much if at all this year, but hope to be doing so soon. Thank you dear Owl. It's a great feeling to have you back, even if only every now and then. I had a few days off and so I profited to visit more often. I do miss PIP and Pipsters when I don't have the opportunity to visit, but we all have our engagements and can't always do what we like most. I wish you great creativity space though, because it brings joy to express what we feel within our heart. And when you can you share, for our pleasure. Love and hugs. Margherita  |

Hi, Diana - so sorry to hear your news. The same thing happened to a good friend of mine in Port Elizabeth but fortunately I arrived the next day so she didn't have to be alone in the house for the next week or so. I know how traumatic something like that can be. Too many people cry in this beloved country of ours. So glad to hear that you weren't harmed physically. Thanks for your understanding, Margherita. Thanks, Earth Angel. I have read your email with much joy. Thank you for the love and concern and healing. I will reply to it when I can do so with leisure and enjoyment that you, it and I deserve. However, that may not be as soon as I would like, as I am too afraid to use my replacement laptop at night in case the burglars come back when they think I have had time to replace the stolen objects (laptop, digital camera and cell phone). My second lot of extra security should be up this week some time, but even then, I am not sure when I will have the courage (and more so the plan as to how) to use my laptop at night. During the day, my time is very limited, but I will find the time, but it may only be at the weekend. What a beautiful email you sent me! Thank you Helen. It is so good to hear that another South African can love our country while mentioning her (SA's) wounds. I recognise the Alan Paton reference, but know that you meant it as well. I am so glad that you were there for your friend. Wow, do I know what a difference that would have made! Since Saturday, I have had my first extra security up, and for 2 nights now, I have slept at will. For the previous 16 nights I was sitting up in bed, watching out the window to make sure that nobody was on the property - at least the part outside my bedroom window - and sometimes falling asleep for minutes, sometimes for hours - and then waking up again and taking up the vigil again. There were times that I decided that I wasn't afraid and would sleep at will for a couple of hours. Thanks for the good wishes. I am a tough cookie and have recovered from such things before, and will do so again, but it is good to know that you and others understand that it is not easy. - Owl |
