Brr, is right ! It got to 65 degrees here today ? Wow ... that's goosebump weather for sure~ My church group shipped 127 brand new thermal blankets to various areas suffering those below freezing temps just this past Saturday ... no kidding ! They were sent to churches within our affiliation to pass out to those in need~ I just pray all are safe ... this is awful weather~ |

Today's high will be 5 degrees about 3 PM, here. This is when it's so nice to be retired and have the luxury of staying put in a nice warm home if we choose. However, I think I'm going shopping for a while. Our schools are closed. |

65 degrees? I'll take it!! I just came in from the doctor's and I cannot believe how cold it is. When you breathe your nostrils close tight! Like when you breathe through your nose.. they don't open again. Am I making sense...? ![]() There are wind chill warnings up. Please don't anyone stick your tongue on anything metal. ![]() Sorry, I have pneumonia and my meds have kicked in... I'll go lie down now. ![]() |

After a few days of 8, 11 and 16 degrees in the sunshine, I was glad to see a balmy 38. But it's supposed to shinny up to the 50's tomorrow, then scoot back to the 20's by Wednesday. Personally, I don't think people can really appreciate climate without knowing the extremes. I speak with experience. I was born in CA! ![]() But it does take a bit of fortitude. Nancy, get BETTER! ![]() |

Lauren, just keep warm...and safely so. We were out the other night walking around in about 10 degrees...I think the body decides to "breathe easy" in order not to take in any air too quickly lest the lungs freeze. I've been in your temps, too...when we lived in Michigan. We "think" we can live through anything. And that just ain't so! |

Anytime people find themselves excited by the prospect of the temperature RISING to the freezing point is the perfect time to consider moving. ![]() |

Yeah, my hubby's been mentioning that we should buy a place in Florida for winters. From latest news reports, we probably couldn't afford to insure one. The warmth of a home takes on a greater appreciation when it's below 0 outdoors. Rae |

I'll share with members here what I shared with Margie via email. We have a wine cellar downstairs.. this is where we store cases of canned pop to stay chilled. Well, for the past few days we have been hearing muffled explosive sounds coming from down in the 'dungeon'. When it happened again this morning..we took a look in the wine cellar.. What a mess!! It has been so cold....that the pop cans have been exploding one after another!! ![]() |

Yesterday, here in North-Eastern PA, when I opened the restaurant, it was a blistering 2 degrees farenheit. This morning, We started running around in our bathing trunks, because the temperature had actually DOUBLED from the day before. We got a delivery about noon, and by 2:30- when I left- the liquid butter blend had still not liquified from being in the truck. You may burn my flag... only after you wrap yourself in it first. |

Just turned on the AC in my office. I was falling asleep from the heat. Sometimes I miss the snow...I'd like to see some pictures of what it looks like in your area..how about some snowmen?????? |
