I really need prayer, please

Last Monday I had to go to my regular doctor. Because I've been having a lot of chest pain, and feel like there is something in my chest that won't move, my doctor did a chest x-ray. When he talked to me afterwards, he said there was something new going on, besides my regular things like COPD, asbestosis, etc. He said there was something showing up on my lungs and that he wanted to get a cat scan of my lungs to see what's there that hasn't been. So, I had to go for lab work for my cat scan and I'm sheduled for the cat scan at 8:20 A. M., Monday morning (9/25/06). I've been really nervous about what they might find. I need everyone to pray for me, please. I know prayer works!!

I had the scan yesterday, but haven't heard
the results yet. Maybe I will hear something
tomorrow.

Ethel, the waiting for your catscan results must be extremely unsettling. I am praying with all of my might that the news will be good news!

You have been through so much with your lungs.

Thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers. I knew I could count on my PIP family to be with me. I called the doctor's office and they said it would be at least a week before I could get the results. They said the results have to come in, then my doctor wants to study the scan.

Thanks again, everyone, for being with me.

Karilea, I know! It seems like it's already been a month!

My doctor's day off was yesterday. If I don't
hear something by Monday afternoon, I'm going to
call to make an appointment with him. It's probably
just scar tissue or something. I sure would like
to know for sure, though.

Hi Ethel,

Well this is my first post and one I am familiar with, and that is healing, and the power of healing.  I needed a healing a long time ago, and well to be quite honest, the pain was so unbearable, no doctors could help me.  So I looked a little deeper.  See, physically I was in good health.  The doctors claimed not a thing was wrong with me, but they did say it could be nerves.  I thought differently though, and the pain was so bad, I did not want to live another day.

I really did not know there was a God who heals, but I found out in the solitude of my bedroom on my knees.  I called on the name of Jesus, he came in that room, and he healed me totally.  That was over twenty years ago, and still today, no more pain.

This same Lord can touch you for he is no respector of persons. My prayer this day for you is this:  No matter what you may be facing or what the report is, there's a miracle on its way to you.  I have the faith to believe for you to receive healing, and what the Lord did for me, he can and will do for you.

So this day forward, God bless you and keep you.  May he cause his face to shine down upon you.  His love is endless, and anyone who calls upon his name, the name of the LORD shall be saved.  When we repent, he will heal us.  That's just what the word of God says.  Repent, meaning turn away from the bad things we do, and he will heal us.  It is quoted like this, "Repent and I will heal you."  There is hope for us all! Only believe Ethel, for all things are possible for those who belive.

I am a walking miracle of God, and YES, I called upon the name of JESUS, and he set me free.  For we can know the truth, and the truth with set us free.

Oops, sorry for preaching a bit, it's just once the pain left my body.  New life began!

I sincerely thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers during this scary time of waiting for the results of the cat scan. I found out today that my cat scan was within normal range for my lung condition, but the doctor wants me to come in to talk to me about what he saw on the x-ray. The nurse talked to me and was just looking at the report. It must be scar tissue or something. I'm so thankful it's not cancer.

Please continue to pray for me when you think of me, because these problems with my lungs that the doctors say there are no cures for are really painful sometimes. I know God is able to heal COPD and asbestosis as well. Having to use the oxygen is aggravating, though I am glad I have it to help me breathe.

I have been checking in to see if there has been any further news, and was relieved when I learned that your catscan was withing normal range. I just hope that what the doctor still wanted to discuss with you, wasn't disturbing.

I'm still thinking of you, Ethel Mae! ~ and sending prayers up for your health to improve and for you to have comfort and peace of mind.
