Group photo by Michael Huber Left to Right: President of DA&HC, Lloyd Marcus, Running Wolf, Three Wolves formerly Robert Lawrence, Marge Tindal, Chief White Feather From: Deltona ArtsCenter Sent: Monday, September 11, 2006 12:03 PM Subject: NEWS RELEASE: A Feast of Native American Culture Deltona Arts & Historical Center guests enjoyed a cornucopia of Native American culture at the Opening Reception for "Spirit of Three Wolves", an art exhibition by the Native American artist formerly known as Robert Lawrence. The affair included a re-naming ceremony which lay to rest Lawrence's English name. Supreme Chief, Chief White Feather performed the ceremony awarding Lawrence his long awaited new Native American name "Three Wolves". Three Wolves is an Iroquois / Mohawk Indian artist who specializes in painting horses, flowers, birds, portraits, seascapes and landscapes. He has been an artist and occasional teacher of painting for over 40 years. Also adding to the Native American cultural extravaganza was poetry by renowned poetess Marge Tindal (Willow White Feather). High Priest of Wolf Clan, Running Wolf, captivated the audience, especially the children, with his dance in full Native American costume. Chief White Feather shared Native American history. 10 year old Jaime Yule charmed the audience by singing a Cherokee song. The "Spirit of Three Wolves" exhibition will be on display at the Deltona Arts & Historical Center until Saturday, October 7th, 12 to 4pm Tuesday - Saturday. . |

Marge, I don't know if anyone else has mentioned to you about the beautiful glow upon your face in that picture. You are definately where you are supposed to be, dear one. Your happiness really shows. Congratulations on being asked to return to present more of your poetry. By the way, could you give me the link to join your newsletter again? I belonged to it one time but somehow don't anymore. Thanks in advance. Hugs, Ethel ethelgg3@yahoo.com |
