We are constantly asking for prayer in here for many different people.  Today, I would like to ask for prayer, healing thoughts, love and light to be sent to Lost in the Fog -- the fastest horse in the world, who was diagnosed with terminal cancer last Friday.  Thanks.   http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2006/08/19/SPG3NKLP1L1.DTL

"If he can have another week or two of quality life, we'll give it to him," Gilchrist said. "I just could not let that horse be euthanized up there without someone being around him."

~*~

I will pray that he will have that quality, and that his keepers and watchers will be there with him.  All animals, humans, life, should be precious to us...even if they only talk with their eyes and body language.

Oh, dear heart, I won't forego a miracle; I guess I was thinking you would know that as a for sure....

miracles happen...

I know.  I have seen them in my own animals.  But above all, I would not want this fine creature to be in any pain.

Rae -- thanks, but I don't even know this horse -- please put your prayers with him.  I read about it in the news today and he is such a beautiful creature.  I just was very touched.  Cancer is extremely rare in horses, btw.  Hugs & thanks

SIL - I know you believe in miracles and completely understand where you are coming from....me too....*hugs* *ty*.....jo

Oh, what a sad ending for an obviously special equine friend. Hoping he does not suffer long, but can still have some more quality lifetime.

My prayers have just been sent. You have such a compassionate heart, dear friend.

My uncle had an Arabian horse ranch and I adored those beautiful creatures. One day while I was out riding a favourite of mine, it reared up on it hind legs and threw me into a barbed wire fence. It turned out that he had bone cancer and was in great pain while I was riding him. I was devastated by the loss of my equine friend. Yes, indeed, I will continue to pray for Lost In the Fog.

With love,
Linda

Theoretically I am not coming into Pip, because temporarily, I can't afford to.  However, something drew me tonight to come into Announcements - not even Open Poetry - and I KNOW it was this.  Iliana, I believe in miracles (that was already one - and I believe that miracles breed more miracles) and I know they are born of prayer, faith and will power.  My prayers for Lost in the Fog will be unceasing.  Should God require him in Heaven, I will organise that Flicka (my darling late horse) will meet him at the gate and show him around and introduce him to all his wonderful friends.

Lost in the Fog, great big hugs around your neck and kisses on the nose and gazings in the eyes.  Don't be afraid.  We are all praying for you staying on Earth as long as possible and in the greatest amount of comfort and the least amount of pain, and the greatest chance for COMPLETE recovery.  Flicka will be watching over you too.  When you eventually meet him, you will adore him.  Everybody does.

Prayers, more prayers and more prayers

Thank you, iliana, and for your email.  I have emailed Larry Stumes, the freelance writer whose email address is at the end of the link, telling him of our prayers and wishes and asking him to pass this on to Greg Gilchrist and, in so doing, to Lost in the Fog.

Thank you very much, jo, and hugs to you too for letting us know.

Larry replied to my email and has printed mine out and is going to be taking it to Greg next week.  He also told me that tomorrow (31 August) Lost in the Fog is going to be scoped to see if his tumors have shrunk from the steroids and holistic medicines he has been given. If they have shrunk, there is hope he might survive.

Please keep praying that he will recover.

Thank YOU, jo, also for the email.  I am busy emailing Austin to thank him for all he is doing as well.

Also trying to keep this link open so that other people will join us too.

Thank you for your email and for this.  Still not up to replying properly.  Flicka is looking after him and they are both happy and safe - they are just sad about all of the tears here on earth, but they understand.

Love
Owl
