This is an excerpt of one of Earth Angel's responses in her poem, "Sweet Sap of Life":

"My parents are in dire straights and I am broken-hearted. Both my parents are in hospital and both are having renal dialysis. Last week my Mom had abdominal surgery and then she had a severe heart attack, stroke, and is now on life support. My Dad is in the room next to her's and he has a broken hip, shoulder, and arm. These are not very happy times but I am trying to stay positive."

Please will Pip's wonderful, miracle prayer chain pray for Earth Angel and her parents in this trying time. Those of you who don't pray, please hold her in your caring thoughts - I know that helps a lot, as well.

Diana, you are such a gentle and loving soul. When I saw your reply to one of my responses in my poem "Sweet Sap of Life", knowing you as I do, I felt moved to come into Announcements ~ voila! Your kindness is on full display. Thank you, Wise and Venerable One.

I am pasting here, the response I made to your own. ~

Thank you, Diana. My Mom returned to Heaven last evening in my sister's arms and with my Dad holding her hand. She passed in the presence of her two soul mates. Just last week my Mom was a vibrant, articulate, sweet, fun-loving woman full of love and life. Just a few years ago she was hang-gliding and parasailing. She embraced each day and had such a generous spirit ~ full of love and life.
My Mom is gone ~ but her glorious spirit lives on. In some ways, she will be even closer to me now...

I thank you all for your prayers and well-wishes.
My Dad says that he has a broken body, a broken spirit, and a broken heart. He desperately needs your prayers ~ as well as my sister who is a very gentle soul and has lost a son and a daughter. She and Mom were inseparable and this loss is more than she can bear. Our hearts are heavy, but I know the power in pip prayer...

(angel friendship and compassion hugs) Oh Linda, I'm soooooooo sorry to hear of your most dearest loss, dearest friend. (wipes tear) You and your family have endured ever soooooooo much recently and just beginning to try and envision all the emotion surrounding it makes me cry myself, but all the same you have a glowing, shining optimism, hope and zest for life that I'm sure both your parents share with you, and it is in that brilliant, prismatic light in your heart where your mother will forever be with you in heart and spirit! (hugs)

(hugs) I will always be here if you need an angel friend to talk to, dearest friend, as you are one of the best friends I've ever had on-line and you always inspire me with your angelic encouragement and Leo-esque generosity, enthusiasm and warmheartedness. (hugs) I can't quite relate to these experiences as I'm still just beginning to spread my wings in life, but I am always close to my family who I love very much, and when I see my mother smoke a lot, I often get concerned her health is ailing and feel for her very much.

(hugs) As for your father, I hope he heals as soon as possible, as I can't even begin to imagine how it must feel to cope with physical and emotional adversity at once. (wipes tear) He sounds like a most loving father anyone would be blessed to have, and I send sympathy and gentle chiropractic angel hugs his way.

Oh, Linda, I am so very sorry to hear of your sad news. I'm sobbing for all of you, especially your dad. I know that she is safe and sound in Heaven, and loving and caring and supporting you all on Earth who feel so bereft. I know that words help very little, but please tell your dad from me that the measure of his berievement is the measure of his happiness of all those long years. Tell him to be strong for his children who need him for himself and who also need him to need them. You are all a very blessed family. Thank you for your strength, on behalf of all of your family. Allow yourself to be wrapped in God's, your family's and our, your Pip friends' love and concern and empathy.

Oh, Owl, my Mom left us so early. She left us 15 years younger than my grandparents did. I am, however, eternally grateful to have had her in all our lives for as long as God had her on loan to us.

My Mom and Dad have loved each other since they were 15 and 16 years old. In all of my life, I have never witnessed such a deep abiding love such as theirs. They were adorable together and they radiated love, charm, beauty and goodness. To know them ~ or even just to meet them ~ was to immediately love them. My Dad is trying so hard to be brave ~ but then he just breaks down and sobs. He had been refusing his morphine since Mom was admitted to hospital so that he could remain alert for her.

After the doctor said it was time to take Mom off of life support because her brain was no longer functioning, my sister crawled in bed with my Mom and sang "You Are My Sunshine" which my grandfather always sang to my Mom as she was growing up and which Mom always sang to my siblings and I as we were growing up. As my sister sang the last line, my Mom gasped and died in her arms.

Later that night, when my sister was preparing for bed, she said to her son ~ I have to phone Mom to say "Goodnight" as she did every night. She then broke into tears because Mom was no longer with us. Right at that moment, the television turned on and there was a commercial playing with a woman singing "You Are My Sunshine"!!!! Yes, Mom is still with us! ~ In spirit!

During the past few days, my sister, brother and I had thought of our parents as Romeo and Juliet. 'Tis now the end of that beautiful love story ~ but it will be in our hearts and our memories for all the rest of our days.

Sighing for you and your family, dearest Linda. I am sorry for the losses you and your loved ones have incurred and I know that feeling of your Mom being there when "You Are My Sunshine" was heard.

Your parents were together like my sister and her husband ever since they were teenagers.

Her loss was hard for him and all of us to bear. Today I go there to share my birthday but also in remembrance of her life as she passed away this time 2 years ago.

But I feel her presence and not meaning to make light of it but even those bats
( yes, I was left with another in my kitchen sink yesterday morning) led me to believe she is reminding me she is here watching over me...making me squirm a bit...but reminding me she loved all of nature, including bats)

((She use to tease me about the bats all the time))

My sympathy and prayers to you and yours and yes, I am sure you Mother is watching over you and loving who you are and have become.

I am rushed now, but will come back another time and copy it out and keep it. Your family is indeed blessed, but so very worthy of being blessed. It is so good and heart-warming to read of such love.

Maureen, I am sorry for your loss 2 years ago. Thank you for trying to like the bats. They are very interesting creatures. Perhaps you could read up on them and perhaps you would squirm less when you find the next one. And when you feel your sister most near, thank her from me, for loving the bats.

Maureen, I can only imagine all the emotions that you must be feeling at this time. A time for celebrating the anniversaries of yours and your sister's births ~ and time of remembrance.

Yes, I do believe that the bats are an indication that your sister's spirit is near you at this special time. My girlfriend's daughter was killed in a car accident on a snowy, winter's day, and during the funeral, a bumble bee went buzzing around our heads. ~ Lindsay loved bumble bees...

My nephew Chad, who disappeared when he was 18 on Lake Ontario, has visited each of us from time to time. There is absolutely no doubt that the spirit survives its corporeal death. None whatsoever.

I appreciate your thoughtfulness and for sharing your wonderful story with me. I regret replying to your poem about the bats in such a cavalier manner. If I had understood the significance, I would have responded in an entirely different manner. I do believe that your sister was communicating that all is well and that she will always be nearby.

Linda..I didn't think much about the connection with the bats and my sister until that second one appeared the next day...
Then I realized she is trying to get to me.

And I spent yesterday looking up bathouses etc and how to get them to be somewhere other than mistakenly finding my living quarters.
I don't mind if they like the attic or peak of the house where no one goes. So I am going to be making several bat houses and placing them at the back of my property or better still

maybe at the side of it since it was my neighbor who shooed them from her house to mine.

Earth Angel, the out-pouring of love is almost all your fault because you are so lovable that we can't help but love you. The part that isn't your fault is the fault of Pip being such a loving place to be. I know so very well, that the pain goes on. Praying for you to see the sweet sap of life (even outside of your poem and beautiful picture) in every moment of your pain, and hoping for your family to keep their strength up so that yours doesn't get too drained.

Dear, sweet friends. Words cannot express the gratitude that is in my heart for your warmth and generosity of spirit.
Yes, these are very difficult times for me right now. The loss of my Mom wears heavy on my heart. My boyfriend also lost his Dad in April and his next best friend two days ago.

~ and it appears as though my Dad has had a turn for the worse and is failing. He wants to be with his precious Patty and appears to have lost his will to live. He is throwing up constantly and cannot keep any of his food down. The doctors are concerned that his broken bones from his fall, are not healing. He is in so much pain ~ physically, mentally and emotionally.

My faith and spirit are being tested, but I am holding strong. I do believe that once my Dad rejoins his soul mate, their starlight will continue to love and guide me until the day that I will be reunited with them. Energy can be transformed ~ but never can it be destroyed.

Blessings of love and joy to each of you who have shown such warmth, kindness, and compassion.

Your continued prayers would be much appreciated.

I've had losses and hurts but wow, not both parents at the same time. May God ease your aching heart. As you see your father in such agony, it does make it a little easier to know he'll be out of pain is he passes, but it's still not easy.

Cold winds continue their endeavors to extinguish the flame of my spirit. It may dim at times, but it shall always prevail. My Dad grows weaker with each passing day. Having just lost my Mom and now with my Dad at death's door in the hospital ~ I feel so helpless ~ and ever so sad...

Mom is still around us and makes her presence known. She always told us that she would do so when the time came for her to cross over.

Thank you for your warmth and compassion.

Friends like you have been a source of comfort and strength for me.

Sorry, I haven't been able to reply to your email yet, Linda, but I will soon. I have only just finished getting the minutes and attendance register for the Sector Policing Forum on to my computty (it is now 2am) and especially today but the last while as well, I literally run everywhere - even when I am sitting at my desk I am still running. This last while (actually more often than that) I fall asleep on the way to my bed - almost.

Prayers, hugs, tears and warm blankets of empathy. I WISH you didn't have this huge load on your shoulders and/or I WISH there was something I could do to lighten it. Please use my shoulders to offload on, if they will be of any use.

Dearest Soul Sister: I totally understand your feelings, having lost my Mom on May 1st. It just rips your guts out and leaves one feeling empty. I am so terribly sorry.

Owl, Dad has now joined my Mom in Heaven.

My heart is heavy, but my spirit now has some of their loving, guiding Light added to it...

Tornados had done a quite a bit of damage in the surrounding area, but we were fortunately spared. The forces of nature can be so terrifying ~ and yet so beautiful.

I hope nobody was hurt in the tornado, in spite of the damage. Yes, to the terror and the beauty. I think that God is showing us that such beautiful occurences are part of his creation - like a blending of a symphony concert and a video show - and simultaneously God is showing us the power of his protection against them, and drawing us closer to Him.
