Mysteria asked me to fix the link for a piano arrangement I've created of a Beatles Medley. I'm still working on it but here's the current version. It's 6 min long so don't even try it without a fast connection. Later, I'm hoping to add a spoken word piece and choreograph a perfomance piece for this. Thanks for listening (and thanks, Sharon, for asking). click here to listen>> Beatles Medley |

I am SO glad you started with Michelle - that actually was one of my favorites of the Beatles. I can't play a thing so don't know if it's a bridge or what, but I love that "zen-like" bell type transition of tickling those ivory keys in there, the softer side is lovely to listen to Dor. I can't stand listening to Beatles without a dance partner but I managed, and enjoyed it. Didn't take long to load at all, and I saved it. I will keep this for now until you finalize it. Thanks so much for your kindness in sharing your CD's and your music with us. You are back and I see my run-on sentences are right back with you. |

You saved it???? arghhhh!.. ok... heh.. save my rough drafts for me because I may need them later when I give up trying for perfection.. lol... Thanks so much for listening, Sharon, and yeah, the tink tink tinks are transitions from piece to piece and believe me, I don't know what to call them either... not bridges because a bridge is usually a change in a tune and then it comes back to the head but whatever, it doesn't matter, it's just me playing and trying to put this piece together because I have a vision of what I want it to become as a performance piece and now I'm talking in run-on sentences too, so what's new, huh? You're a dear... and I hear the story in my head, the story of Michelle and Jude who fall in love ... it's really very corny... lol.. and I'm going to dance to it .... I will! |

Now that is what I call a magnifico work in progress! I found the medley titillating to listen to! I loved your creative interpretation of those Beatles songs. There were so many musical flavors to savor. At times I picked up the bravado of Rachmaninov ~ then I was transported to Elizabethan England ~ and then I was listening to tinkling fairy bells! Thank you for sharing your talent with us! Linda P.S. I'm looking forward to receiving Perimeters 2005! |

Doreen, I'm curious as to what keyboard type you used? It's an enchanting sound....at times almost sounds like a harpsicord, and other times sounds like a great Steinway grand....I'm probably wrong on both counts, but I enjoyed it all the same. .....jo |

Linda - Thanks so much for listening.... I'm glad you enjoyed it! You're praise is too kind! Apologies for not getting the CD to you yet. It's a busy world and I'm trying to keep up. I'm burning one for you as I type this and will print the cover and put it in the mail within the next day or so. iliana (jo)- It's just a cheap Yamaha keyboard. I think it cost me $150 or something. lol .. It does have lots of voices I could use for harpsichord or many other instruments (an entire orchestra) but I just had it set at "grand piano," recorded it directly into the keyboard, then I used a line-in into the back of my Mac and recorded it into Audacity (a free open source recording app). Nothing fancy for sure. I'd die for a Steinway grand! ha! I miss a REAL piano. Even an electronic keyboard with 88 keys would be nice. This one only has 64. I have a real piano but it's ancient and won't hold a tune. One day I'll get myself another real piano. Thanks so much for listening and for your kind words! |

Doreen, I have to go along with the comment that it has an Elizabethan feel to it. Apart from the end which as you have said is rushed, almost feels as if you thought you had run out of time. Very clever transitions. Particularly like the liesurely pace it is very relaxing to listen to. |

Thank you for listening and for your kind comments, time prophet!! I've decided not to re-record it.. this will be the soundtrack to the piece.. I just have to write the words, record them, then choreograph and rehearse a dance I can dance to on stage. Minor stuff. lol ...heh... I donno where the Elizabethan description came from but I LIKE the concept of it! The idea of Elizabethan may lend itself to something I haven't thought of yet and believe me, there's a LOT I haven't thought of yet! Thanks much! |
