This photo of the sunset over Houston was taken at about 7:45 p.m. tonight. Thought it was really beautiful. We're about to lose electricity...it's been flashing on and off so I wanted to get this up.

How can something be so beautiful and yet so dangerous at the same time..

jo, from all accounts, it sounds as though Houston fared fairly well! That good news was like taking an Alkaseltzer ~ "Wow! What a relief it is!"

I hope your property has been spared any damage, lily jo!

The photo of that sunset is beautiful ~ yet somewhat threatening in appearance. I could sense the pent up energy.

Dear Jo, this picture shows so eloquently the two sides of Nature, its awesome beauty and its danger.
I have just heard on the news that Rita lost great part of its power and for this we are grateful!
