I just want to give a special thanks to all who asked and prayed for us. Words and pictures cannot express what we went through with Katrina and the aftermath. Also let everyone know that it was thanks to our neighbors the citizens not the federal government or Red Cross. Cities, Towns, churches, and individuals again it was the every day citizen that came to the rescue. So with tears in my eyes I want to say thank you. Internet is a rare thing these days so when I can I will update everyone. Helen, I thank you again for getting word out about me. If my grammar is flawed please forgive me. Sleep has been limited as well as time off. |

Tom, it is much appreciated that you were able to give your pip friends an up-date. As you know, we have all been very concerned about you and your family. I thank the Lord above that you survived it all. You are being taxed and tried on every level. What a difficult time to be a police officer! ~ and I can well-imagine that you are behind in your sleep! God bless you! Love & Light, Linda |

You must be exhausted! Thanks for checking in with us! We know time is valuable, and you need to spend as much of it as you can with your immediate family. If there is anything we can do to help you, please...holler. |

We know it is a difficult road, Tom, but something tells me you're going to pull through and come out stronger for it. |

I'd like to join others in gratitude for your safety and thank you also for serving during the worst disaster in U.S. history. I think you are so right, it sure was the people helping people that pulled each other through this time, and I know some are still waiting for something in the way of help from any organization but not getting it. The main thing is you are safe and can now start a new life. My heart and prayers go out to you all Tom. |

Prayers for your safety continue through your rehabilitation. I'm sure days are very long and trying. It must seem like trying to empty the ocean with a thimble. May you know God is with you. Rae |

Thank all of you again for your prayers and support. The little things in life have so much meaning to me now so again to hear each persons single prayer makes a big difference. |

Thomas, sitting here in awe, lighting a candle to you and for you...God rest the souls of darkness, to give them light, to lead them in their time of despair...God bless the children...and for those in law enforcement, those who have fed the hungry, clothed the naked, cared for the sick. for you! |

Each day seems to get better, but there is a constant reminder of what has passed just a few weeks ago. Today the local news played the 911 tapes of the parents and kids calling and begging to be saved. Why the media would play a 10 year old girl crying for salvation as news is beyond any reason. It is disgusting and only cuts us deeper in guilt. I just pray for whoever is in the path of this new storm that the storm weakens and does not cause much destruction. I would rather it hit us again to avoid any new suffering to another community. God bless you all and talk to you soon. Tommy |

The media played some pretty stupid stuff. To play up a salvation prayer like that is disgusting and sensationalism news at its very worst. That's why I spent most of my time on the internet forums and chats (not the regular news) WITH the REAL PEOPLE affected by Katrina, and was able to chat with a lady in West Virginia who told me via the grapevine news, that all the Biloxi officers were OK, even before our sweet poet/officer Helen talked with you. Thank you, not only for being there to help others, but for your voice of honesty and the reality check you've given many readers here at Passions. HUGS, Kacy BTW, someone from Hawaii was concerned, I sent him the info you were OK. |
