BEWARE SCAMS LINKED TO KATRINA
The horrific situation in New Orleans and along the Gulf Coast is tailor made for Internet crooks. And, sure enough, they're already crawling out from under their rocks.

A number of sites have popped up, soliciting donations for victims. Problem is, there is no way of knowing who is behind them. I'll bet
most, if not all, are frauds.

In addition, the FBI said it is investigating fraudulent e-mails.

I want to help, and I'll bet you do, too. But I am giving only to organizations with which I am familiar. Should you get a request
from a group you would like to help, check first with the Better Business
Bureau. It has a site set up especially for Katrina at: http://www.give.org/reports

I've already heard of people going around asking for Katrina donations, and just keeping the money for themselves. I hope they rot in hell.

The ONLY place to donate anything is to the Red Cross, Salvation Army, or someone you personally know.

Unless a drive is affiliated with with one of those organizations.
