Thank you for bringing Stanley Kunitz's birthday to our attention. I hope he celebrates it with family and friends. And starts to plan for his 101st birthday party!! believe in what your heart feels... |

Family and Friends. If a man at that age has one, or the other, he is indeed blessed. I know... my mother-in-love may be celebrating her 97th birthday in November. Most of her "immediate" family is gone now. She wonders.... "why not me?" I use to tell her she still had things to teach people. And every time she hauls off with a quip of speech from the "old days" I damn near shoot myself because my hands are usually on a steering wheel and no where near a pen or piece of paper because, in a word... they are 'splendiforous!" But when you ask her to repeat some of them... she cannot find them.... they become truth of moment verbiage.... Thank you, Glider.... for sharing our history with us. |
