Though you did not know her she was an inspiration to all my writings She was a gracious lady and left this world with the same dignity in which she lived. She endured pain and sadness while struggling for her life in these last eight months. I was witness to her leaving and while my heart is crying from the pain it feels, I know she is in peace. I want to thank all of you for having been there these past months and though I have said thank you before, now you understand why. We had a relationship that was rare. She was 28 years older than I. My mentor and friend. She believed in me more than I believed in myself and now she is gone. I am charged with keeping her memory alive for I was the closest living being to her. She died while I was at her bedside on July 2, 2005. A day I will always remember. Her name was Hadia M. Hamdy daughter of Naila, a name to be remembered even in digital space. Isn't it simply amazing, that we can set a name into virtual memory...and who knows how many will come to understand that all lives are precious to someone... thank you, m'dear...for taking time to share your special someone with us. God blessed her life... Now, He will bless her eternity. |

Electra, it must have been a comfort for Hadia to have had you at her bedside at the time of her passing into the Light. ~ There was a bright new star added to the skies that night... You can be certain that you now have her watching over you from above. In some ways, she will be closer to you now than she ever was in physical form. God bless her ~ and you. Thank you all for your kind, loving support. Today, was her funeral and now I must work through the aftermath. There were many who came, for there were many she touched.
